1940 Census Map for Taylor, Idaho

The following map shows the Taylor area as it was in 1940 overlaid on a modern satellite image.  Both the Taylor School (1) and Washington School (3) as well as the LDS Church building (2) shown on this map have all been torn down.  Sidney and his family lived at the home (4) about a mile north east of the cemetery.

Sidney Hansen Family in the 1940 Census

Yesterday, after several attempts I was finally able to download the images of the 1940 Census for the Taylor Precinct, Bonneville County, Idaho and find Sidney and his family.  I didn't discover too much new information other than I learned Sidney only had a fifth grade education and his wife, Maude, had an eighth grade education.  It was also interesting that all of their children would go on to have more education than they were able to obtain.  I am hoping later this week to locate Sidney's mother Alice Hansen and Maude's parents in the 1940 census records.
